Introduction I complied this book, 'The History of Blues Rock 'n' Roll' is about the life of W. C. Handy (Father of The Blues), and James Brown, The Godfather of Soul, who was an American Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Recording artist. He is the originator of Funk Music and is a major figure of 20th Century popular music and dance. In a Career that spanned six decades, Brown profoundly influenced the development of many different musical genres. Brown moved on a continuum of Blues and Gospel-based forms and styles to a profoundly 'Africanized' approach to music making. Brown performed in Concerts, first making his rounds across the Chittlin' Circuit, and then across the Country and later around the World, along with appearing in Shows on Television and in Movies. Brown employed between 40 and 50 people for the James Brown Revue, and members of the revue traveled with him in a bus to Cities and Towns all over the Country, performing upwards of 330 Shows a year with almost all of the Shows as one-nighters. In 1986, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 1990 into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.  :Brown continued to perform and Record until his death in 2006 from :congestive heart failure at the age of 73. Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 :–: August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant :cultural icons :of the 20th Century, he is often referred to as :'The King of Rock 'n' Roll', or simply, 'The King'. Presley was born in :Tupelo, Mississippi :as a :twinless twin, and when he was 13 years old, he and his family relocated to Memphis, Tennessee. His music Career began there in 1954, when he recorded a song with producer :Sam Phillips :at Sun Records. Accompanied by guitarist :Scotty Moore :and bassist :Bill Black, Presley early popularize Rockabilly, an up-tempo, :backbeat-driven fusion of :Country music :and :Rhythm and Blues. In 1973, Presley was featured in the first Globally broadcast Concert via satellite, :Aloha from Hawaii. Several years of prescription drug abuse severely damaged his health, and he died in 1977 at the age of 42. Presley is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th Century. Commercially successful in many genres, including :Pop, :Blues :and :Gospel, he is the :best-selling solo artist :in the history of Recorded music. Therlee Gipson
